Inexpressible Heroes and Friends, Cakes and Cards

I knew that the day I was back to worship in my church would happen in God's perfect time. And, yes, that day was today, its been a perfect Sunday thus far but it still isn't over and its way better than perfect.

God will always be the amazing super hero who towers over my life but as I sat in church this morning worshiping my heavenly Father, I realized that I have some pretty amazing heroes (which includes heroines naturally) for friends too. Summer of 2012 will now remain etched in my memory for yet another question God has answered. I now know who my forever friends are and who are good time friends. Better yet, I can now see how friends stretch and support me in very different ways from each other revealing, yet again, God's complex tapestry of blessings for his beloved children. The tapestry sparkles absolutely clear in brilliant hindsight. Rather than describe it, I will simply borrow our Pastor Scott's sermon title: The Inexpressible Gift! Contemplating the inexpressible gift (2 Corinthians 9: 1-15, ESV) has inspired me, this afternoon, to bake lemon pound cake (above left), start on my fall table deco (it's gonna have pomegranates from the garden - woot!!!!), take a picture of life aburst beautifully amid death (Sempervivum Arachnoideum "cobweb" flower blooms amid dead mother plants, above right) and design a Garden of Grace card (below) before I get ready for my cousin's 50th birthday celebrations. No question is too trivial or unimportant for God to answer and He is beyond inexpressible.
